Just like the two ducks in this picture I celebrated Leap Year by spending some time today with a friend. Since we both love nature and she is a birder and I like to take pictures we spent the morning walking in the Park together birding and taking pictures the perfect morning for us both. Rahway River Park.

yup, they say a mallard will mate with just about anything, but in this case the Wood duck is definitely going declasse by cohorting with the mallard. You know what they said about Edward and his American wife, Wallis Simpson...
