Photographer Notes:

The artist is from Pakistan, her "canvas" is from Afghanstan. This form of body art seems to have originated in the eastern Mediterranean region and is now widely practiced in North Africa, the Middle East and the Far East. The "tattoo" lasts for a week to ten days. Shot at 1/30s, f/4 using an Pentax DA 18-55mm Lens (focal length 20mm). Shot at 18:18:59 on 29 February 2008.

taht's one beautiful tattoo... and very good image. You should write a short human interest story on it and submit it to a magazine or weekend newspaper edition... would be interesting.
