I realize this doesn't quite fit into the spirit of World in Pictures Day I worked all day (no cameras allowed) and meant to take a portrait when I got home of my family. I completely forgot until everyone was in bed! So I set up a sunflower and took this shot. Now that I think of it, I could have taken a photo of someone sleeping. ;-) I can't miss a World in Pictures Day because I love the concept.

Really like the contrast of the dark of night with the attractive pedals of the sunflower spreading their gorgeous beams of light. Wonderful color and crisp detail on the pedals. Glad that you did not forget WIPD, LaRee!
