Photographer Notes: Mid December is waterfowl season in Southern Illinois. Southern Illinois is well known for it's high populations of migrating ducks and geese providing visitors and residents alike with excellent waterfowl watching and hunting opportunities. In this image a Southern Il waterfowl hunter calls in the ducks from an in the ground "pit"/ blind . From late November through the end of February I am most often found in the blinds and pits across Southern Illinos documenting waterfowl hunts. Silver Creek Hunt Club.
