Photographer Notes:

The entire New York City area was engulfed in a windy rainstorm with winds in excess of 40 mph in places. On the beach itself wind was about a continuous 60 mph, I could not stand in one spot. I guess the in camera stabilization works.

Nice shot. Beaches always look better with some not so nice weather. IS worked wonderfully!

A lovely composition of the conditions in your area on WPD, Efton. Nice lines too...large waves coming in indicative of the high winds. You did a great job of holding that camera still.
