The weather was very cold and heavily overcast but I wanted to get out and see what birds may be moving through down by the stream. I captured this Drake Mallard with a Pentax K10D and a Sigma EX 100-300mm f4 lens.

The color and clarity of this beautiful bird photographed at just the right precise moment, coupled with a top notch camera/lens combination, in the hands of a very talented photographer sets the standard for which we each aim for. Don't know who shot this but you're a winner in my book!
