Photographer Notes: This is a "cardak". It is another important object at every farm and it serves like a storage for maize. It is usually built like a wooden porch on the concrete foundaments. The air can flow in and out, drying maize. It is usually painted in different but vivid colors what gives it an exotic touch. For the village kids, this place is very convenient for their most favourite play: hide and seek. This is a typical Serbian village old architercture although something very smilar can be seen in Asturias, the northern province of Spain.
