I have seen many wonderful macros! This one to me, is superb!! The clarity and detail is outstanding! This is actually a beautiful macro with a wonderful artistic flair! Love the catch light star! Congratulations on a very worthy POTD!

Thank all y'all for your kind words! Ingrid: Closeup adapters (as opposed to real macro lenses for SLR's) can only focus at one distance -- they work *exactly* like reading glasses, where you can't focus on anything further away than a certain distance. Mine is 4.8 diopters, so doing the math gives 8.2 inches. He kept wanting to eat the closeup adapter off of my lens, so it was a little tricky. :)
