Sicilian Tornado

Photographer Notes:
While driving on the roads of nothern Sicilia I discovered this tornado on the water...stopped on the first possible place to capture it...my very first sight of a tornado...so exiting!!!The boat was not harmed and I only had time to take 3 pictures and it was gone...

Very dramatic "right time, right place" capture, Sylvia. You were also lucky to have the sailboat there because it makes the image much more compelling. Hat's off to you. Great win!

Thank you Kristy, Lonnie, Kirsten, Melinda, Mustafa, Renee, Linn, Stephen, Mike and Caj :o) Mike it was because of the boat that I discovered the waterspoud...I was so thrilled when I saw it and so lucky to find a place where to stop and catch it...then passed the entire afternoon spying for another one ...lolll

Wow, Sylvia, what a stunning capture. Wonderful composition with the inclusion of the perfectly placed white sailboat too...so glad that no one was harmed. I would do a double take at seeing this scene and probably have such weak knees, I could not steady the camera. Big congrats on a sure winner anywhere!!!

Congrats,Sylvia. How lucky to be there at the right moment and beeing able to stop there. How often do we miss a beautiful chance, because we can't stop. Drives me crazy sometimes. LOL
