Photographer Notes:
This is the new 2.4 acre habitat for the San Diego Zoo's elephants. It took more than two years to complete and also has habitats for other animals with historical ties to Southern California.

I visited this beautiful Zoo when I was a child back in the mid 50's and it left favorable lasting memories of this well managed Zoo. Good to see the new addition for the elephants. Great shot! Congratulations on your win today.
