This is the first one of these birds I have ever seen in my life. my bird club was surprised as they had not seen one either. I was as you might guess thrilled and more so that he sat there and let me get 2 pictures before he flew

A great capture of this rare bird with great DOF too. I can see how much of a thrill this was to be able to get this shot especially as they are so quick & do not stay long in one place. Congrats, Connie!

Wonderful capture Connie. This was the very first bird shot I ever took (that was recognizable). Some years they are plentiful, but haven't noticed as many this year.
