Camera: Nikon D200 Exposure: ISO 800, 1/15, f 5.6 Lens: Nikon 80-400 VR @ 400mm It was a lovely warm March evening at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Sanctuary here in New York City. There was also a lovely full moon lighting the park so it was easy to see while we enjoyed the sunset and later glow seen in this photo. A few minutes after taking this photo we walked out and the sky above us was black. We could hear the flocks of birds fly over yet not see them creating a very surreal mood.

Gorgeous art design of this flight of birds. The motion captured with the soft glow of pink and blue creates a beautiful impression...congratulations!

Birders are usually so busy with trying to get things tack sharp that they miss many opportunites for creative photography. Congrats on being alert to the opportunity and willing to think outside the box, thus giving us very unique photo! Bill
