Brings back such memories--I attended a rural school in Kansas in the 1950's. We had desks exactly like these. The big event of my 5th grade year was the addition of a 2nd room (we reached 24 pupils in grades 1-8!) and getting indoor plumbing--no more outhouses. This is a beautifully done photo. Thanks for sharing.

So well framed & quite fascinating, Diane! I sat in desks like theses for a few years & later we got to buy some for our "little school room" at our home. Congrats on a wonderful interesting POTD!
