Thank you! That is a surfer getting "slammed" by a wave. I do not know the exact lingo used. He was probably about 100 yards from shore, right by a pier I was taking the shots from.

I thot this fellow was at the crest of a dam and I still wonder how you managed this shot - you're fantastic. Yes our son in Huntington Beach Cal. mentioned the unusually high and dangerous waves. I doubt if he has the courage to try this shot however. Timing n' all was perfect. You're great. dick
