Emma's Challenge

Photographer Notes:
These are my cousins Sarah and Emma. Emma is wearing the hat and is fighting bone cancer, Ewing's Sarcoma, diagnosed in Jan. She is six years old. I took this at a fundraiser called Emma's Challege. The girls had fun riding horses and running around. Emma had surgery to remove the bone in her shoulder and will have chemo until Oct. She's a fighter!

Virginia, this is an adorable shot. I believe I speak for everyone visiting this specific POTD when I pray that may God Almighty bless this young girl with a quick return to a healthy, cancer free life and may he make it a long and beautiful one. Thank you to everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers for Emma, what a wonderful community of caring people on this site. My heart is so full. Emma is truly a beautiful and kind little girl who was hit with this terrible blow. She has faced it with strength and tremendous courage. We truly believe God is great and whatever he has in store will be what is best for this sweet soul. Thank you to all.

There is nothing I can say that the others haven't already said. It is very sad when anyone contracts this terrible disease, but when it happens to a child, it is even more devastating. My prayers are with Emma and her family
