Photographer Notes:
This ship ran aground on a beach in Newcastle during a storm on Friday, June 8th. Two other ships were in danger of running aground, but were saved. They are hopeful it will not break up as it has 740 tonnes of fuel on board.

Very lovely image. Great story that goes with it. Hope that the tragedy you spoke of did not occur. Nice clarity in the boat and in the cliff with the lighthouse in the background. Love the low shutter speed flow of the ocean. A great shot for your 1st POTD win, Sharon, Congratulations!
