House Moving By Water

Photographer Notes: This was a house moving by water around Terra Ceia Bay in Palmetto, Fl. on Sept 27, 2007. A house over 100 years old was donated to the Manatee County Conservation dept for use on their newest Preserve called Robinson Preserve located in NW Manatee County in Bradenton Fla. The bridge in the background is the Fla Sunshine Skyway Bridge on Tampa Bay betweeen St. Petersburg and Palmetto, FL USA. I was fortunate to be able to get around 100 photos of this house moving by barge around the Emerson Point Preserve also in Palmetto, Florida with Robinson Preserve just across the Manatee River. I am a Florida native born and have been in this area for all 65 of my years excluding Viet Nam serving. I love being able to photograph important nature and newsmaking events of my area!
