Prayer Plant Leaf

Photographer Notes:
I was looking at my wifes prayer plant in our house today and decided to take this shot. I just got my Canon 17-40mm f4L lens yesterday. This is the first shot I took with it. The camera was mounted on a tripod, I was at 40mm, f8.0, 100 ISO, mirror was locked up, 2 second self timer, and a 5 second exposure, at the minimum focusing distance. I like the optical illusion it gives by making the frame look higher on the left side and lower on the right side.

Thank you all for your very nice comments. To all of you: I am very much inspired and in awe of your winning POTD images I've seen on this site. Having some my images posted as POTD on this site is very uplifting and indeed causes me to try new techniques and I'm starting to see things differently in the field as a photographer. Joyce: I am not sure how to answer you about how did the color come in. This prayer plant leaves are this color , though I do use mirror lockup for most of my still telephot

Sorry about that, I use mirror lockup for most of my still telephoto, long exposures, and closeup shots and sometimes I think I see a difference in image quality as a result. Thanks again everyone!!!
