Outstanding composition and DOF in this fine image Pat....the eye is drawn in and lingers over the fine contrast in color. You made the very best of a rough patch of weather in the ole UP....Congrats to you!

Wonderful leading lines drawing the viewer quickly into the heavy deep ice bank in the foreground. As the eye travels further through the snow it is rewarded with a rich blue lake and sky! A beautiful composition of lighting and contrast in your frozen tundra...congratulations, Pat, on a superb POTD!

It's amazing how something so very frigid and dangerously cold could be so pleasing to the eye! I love your perspective here, Patrice! The contrasting blues really set this up as a definite winner! Congratulations on a well deserved and well composed winning shot that captured you the POTD!

I can feel the chill in the air. I like how you composed the photo so the eyes are drawn towards the lighthouse bouy. The blue and white has such stark contrast, beautiful.
