Terrific closeup details, Patrice! Love the soft curves and the way they all flow to the center of the knot! Great composition that leads the viewer right to that spot! Congrats on the POTD!

Kathy, this is a very weathered rope which was located on an old icebreaker in Black River Harbor. I had to stand on my tiptoes to get it. The icebreaker I am afraid was well iced in the harbor until the Spring thaw. The shot was taken on 2/24.

What a great eye you have to see the unique look in this curved and twisted rope! The soft edges and selective focus give it a good impressionistic look; could also have won in the abstract category. Congratulations on your superb double win today! And I like your image profile capture!
