Photographer Notes:
Along the shoreline of Puget Sound this gull kept diving for something to eat about 12 times in a row. He would pull back out of the water just before his wings fully submerged each time he did this manuver. It was very entertaining to watch as he did this quite often for some time farther away down the shoreline.

Very cool shot Alan! I love the water splashing about the wings - it's so clear and crisp. A very surreal shot as well.....great capture!

I simply love this unique and wonderful capture of this gull who took great care not to get his wings wet. Marvelous detail & clarity with wonderful tones. I really like that pose and the big splash of water. Terrific shot and comp, Alan, congratulations!!!
