Excellent capture of a tiny, colorful & very attractive looking bird. Super POV..in fact one may wonder just how you took this. I love the soft fluff of the feathers and that red beak which really stands out. Terrific shot, Kirsten, big congrats!!!

A beautiful and interesting bird...rich in markings and color! You captured it beautifully, Kirsten, showing great DOF and extreme detail...a difficult image to photograph well as birds do not allow much time for corrections. Congratulations on a super POTD!

The little bird is a Zebra Finch and is native to Australia. It is kept and breed by many aviculturists and sold in pet stores everywhere.
