Wow great shot and congrats! I am fearful of snakes, im afraid of being bit, but i like pictures of them. Do you happen to know what kind this is? The color of the bucket really makes the snake stand out!

Thank you very much, PV, Douglas, Jessica, susie, Richard, Kathy and Linn! :) I like snakes as long as I don't accidentally grab one when I'm weeding (which is why this one went into the bucket until I was done). :) This is a Midland Brown Snake, which interbreeds with the Northern Brown Snake in Ohio. They eat earthworms, slugs and snails.
