Nice timing Ellen. They are such graceful creatures to watch and so exciting to photograph, especially when capturing a great shot like this!

Wow, what a striking and awesome capture of this eagle in flight. The large wing span reveals the majesty of this remarkable bird. I especially love the way the light impacts the underside of the right wing and body revealing the incredible beauty and detail of the feathers from an amazing perspective too. And the view of the tail feathers is simply outstanding as well. Big congrats on a terrific & superb POTD, Ellen!
