Photographer Notes:

The sun had gone behind a cloud bank when I discovered this spot on a one-lane dirt road. I liked the colors, but the light was terrible, so i shot three frames and processed them in Photomatix to bring out the autumn hues.

Very lovely, attractive & colorful autumn scene, Winston! I especially like the white bark and look of the birch trees which I find to be so personally appealing. Congrats!

I think you did a good job in keeping the white in the birches. It might seem as a small thing, but the strong colors in this leaves gets so much better because you have those white bark and that makes your photo really beautiful! Really good job, Congratulations on the POTD!
