Nice shot Dov. That looks a lot like the black crowned night herons that we have around here. I saw one take a sparrow once. Congratulations on the POTD.

Thank you all for your kind words. I was lucky to be able to get relatively near and the light was weak, so I used a large aperture and got the dof as bonus :)
