Photographer Notes:
The Hotel Majestic was the home of Victor Hugo. Charles de Gaulle stayed there before his escape to England during WWII. It is now the preferred hotel of musicians performing at the Grand Theater.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I guess I got carried away with the history of the place, and the key seemed emblematic. It is our actual room key--no modern locks or magnetic cards there! And in the European tradition, just drop it off at the desk on your way out.

An excellent macro image William....your use of DOF to hold the key in focus and just soften the name of the hotel enough to add atmosphere and well, a sense of history! Very well conceived and executed. Congrats on a fine POTD.
