A great capture of this beautiful pileated woodpecker, Linda. They are difficult to capture because they seem to swiftly move as soon as they see a camera. Big congrats on your excellent winning composition!

Thanks, Ellen, Ron, Linn, Wayne & Patrice! All the birds around here are pretty used to me being out there (within reasonable distance). This pic of the Red Bellied Woodpecker was taken with a 400mm lens, and I was about 15-20 ft. away from the tree. Thanks again for all your kind remarks!
