What a wonderful capture of the Maid of the Mist and the falls behind it. It's GREAT in black and white. Huge congrats on a wonderful potd, Mike.

Dov, I added a tiny bit of contrast but felt it was as far as I could go. Any more, and the mist hovering over the aptly-named boat, itself, disappears. Glad you liked it!

Thank you, Kirsten. It's actually quite nice in colour, too. The raincoats everybody's wearing are a middle blue. Bit more drama in B&W. Glad you liked it, too!

Looks like a great choise to put in B/W. Sometime, Niagra falls are one of the places I'd love to visit - your photo is a wonderful one to watch while I await that moment... congratulations to your POTD!

Thanks, Mustafa and Caj. Mustafa, that's just a bit of the foot of the falls on the American side but it hints at the majesty. Caj, hope you make it someday because there's such a variety of things to shoot. One could spend days trying to capture everything the Falls has to offer.

Very nice photo and B&W presentation! Reminds me of long a go... when I visited the falls as a little kid... I would surely like to go back again someday... Congrats!

This is a superb capture Mike. The boat provides wonderful scale..the B&W rendering adds greatly to the mood of this very dramatic image. Congrats Mike on an excellent POTD!

Thanks, Raymond. Glad the photo brought back some good memories. Depending on how young you were, you might recognize parts of Niagara Falls but much is new, especially around Fallsview Casino, with sort of a Vegas vibe. I grew up about 30-minutes away and Niagara Falls is much different now.

The intensity of the falls in the BG & the patterns of the water make this image quite fascinating & dramatic, Mike, congrats. Great capture of the boat in the FG too...would love to be in it. Am just getting the opportunity to gaze at this week's winners now.
