Photographer Notes:

Picture was taken of the brush fire in Rolling Hills Estates on August 27, 2009. The camera was on a tripod, and the exposure time was 30 seconds. Light trails are from fire department and/or police helicopters. The dotted one is from one apparently using a spotlight. You can see the illumination from it on the hillside at the left. The question that begs to be asked is where are the people who live in the homes? Were they evacuated?
