Photographer Notes:
This little fawn was born on 6/19/09 at 4pm along the side of a path that I frequently walk on. I hesitated to enter it because it looks so much like the other fawn whose birth I had witnessed last year. However, it is an entirely different shot.

And thanks, too, KK for posting one of my images today. I have to admit I was very fortunate. We have many deer around here in the city & they are very used to people being around.

I took this shot from about 12 feet away with a focal length of 44.0mm, Aperture Priority, 1/15 second, F8, WB cloudy. I was initially walking my dog when I spotted it & unfortunately scared the Mom away who was lying next to the fawn. I came back a few hours later with my camera & captured the shot while lying down bracing my elbows on the ground as close to my body as I could to stabilize the camera. Our neighbor keeps this area pretty well mowed as the path in the woods is on his property.
