Thanks for your kind comments everyone. The dog is Oscar (male), belongs to a friend, and he's just earned the "Agility Dog of Canada" award. The low level shot was made easy with a foldout LCD and liveview.

Great picture, John. You make a good case for live view and flip out LCD's. For me (I don't have either), I would spend the day lying down on my stomach to capture something like this (not that I am complaining about getting dirty for a good shot). Congrats on the POTD
