Very interesting abstract, Diman. Congratulations on your POTD. I see you are also using the K10D. Right now I have a lot of problems with it.

Dear Christine Czernin, thanks for the congrats. What are the problems with your Pentax? We can discuss it if I can help. I love my gear very much and still think that K10D is the best choice I can ever make

Hi, Diman. I love Pentax too since years, first 3 analog, now my second digital. The main problem is the lousy service. It has to be sent to Hamburg/Germany.After 4! weeks came the estimate, after 6 weeks I got it back, went on a photo trip and the and after a week the same problem, only much stronger. It had stopped to work at all. Very frustrating. Regards, Christine.

Christine, I'd like to comment on your last post. K10D is my first camera, and I'm very thankful to Pentax for making such a sturdy camera. Now I realize that if I choose smth. else possibly I'd have to buy a new one. This happened on the mountain trip, where I had to jump into the mountain river in a hurry to save my friends who was going to sink. Unfortunately the camera was with me in the opened bag. Finally the bag was full of water, but friends were intact. After drying the camera it were back ready to

shoot! That is why I was able to get the photos that have won my previous POTDs - check it here. As to service - it's really lousy. As well as others here in Siberia :) Also now I realize that I was using camera with totally nonfunctional auto focus for near 1.5 years - I had to make numerous shots to get it right. Problem totally gone after second (!) service (I have to send it ~4000 km to St. Petersbourgh). But now after all that, all I wish - to have fullframe... yes, Pentax :)

Now that is a dramatic story, jumping into a river to save a friend. Since yesterday I have new Pentax K7. After all the problems and massive complaints to Pentax Germany, they offered me the camera for € 400,instead of €1199. It has very good reviews in the internet. We will see, a lot to learn in any case. If you want to send me an email, christine.czernin@gmail.com Do you have an online gallery? Regards Christine
