This sunset was taken over a thin layer of ice on the Flowage. You can see in the FG how thin the ice is as it had not yet covered the area near the rocks. Jason, thanks for your insightful comment on how the composition could be improved. The color became stronger as the sun was lower in the sky & it then radiated over a broader area. I did have some photos of this sunset where the sun was higher in the sky with a slightly different FG but this image was the one chosen.

Thanks, Ken, this "Lake" is called Gile Flowage and is rather expansive...had a thin layer of ice on it at the time the photo was taken,
