Photographer Notes:
Most implants are behind the iris, however for a few special cases the surgeon must use an anterior implant. This shot was taken with the camera held up to the eyepiece of a biomicroscope.

Wow, this is really remarkable, Bill, cannot get much closer than this. One can see the lens & other inner intricacies of the eye so clearly. Surely something we would rarely get to see...thanks for sharing & congrats!

Thanks guys. The eye is an amazing structure. So much has to be in perfect alignment that I must conclude that it did not happen by accident. And it is also remarkable that it is so resilient to withstand the stress of surgery and lens implantation. Thanks again for your comments Bill
