Photographer Notes:
This faithfully restored WWII Gernan fighter belongs to Paul Allen's Flying Heritage Collection museum in Everett, WA. It's one of only two flying Bf109E-3's in the world, and what a thrill to see it in the air 70 years after it was shot down over the English Channel!

Amazing there are any left in good flying condition! Good skill of the pilot using the old time flying instruments...great work! Congratulations on your win!

thanks, Linn. actually, the flight controls are pretty similar in all those types of planes. each has its idiosyncrasies, of course, but stick and rudder do pretty much the same things no matter what you're flying, and the gauges and dials measure the same things, just perhaps in different languages... ;)
