Photographer Notes:
I was shooting Tufted Titmice when this guy or gal emerged from the bushes. Sometimes it pays to be lucky. The Tufted Titmice (and all other birds) escaped without harm.

Jeannie: thanks for the kind comments. When these hawks visit, they usually only stick around a few seconds. This one stayed on the shepherd's pole a good 2-3 minutes. No birds were harmed in the capture of this picture. :)
