that really hits hard as journalistic commentary because America has such a strong sense of community and continuity regarding public schools--they're the centers of American life and mean so amny things to so many peole that this should never happen. A school can easily be converted to a business or museum or some other institution or even a form of alternate housing for the poor... this should never happen, but it reflects the disdain that politics and governments have towards education--yet it is v
