Photographer Notes:
It was a perfect day for a visit to the zoo--and that's what a gazillion other folks thought, too. We went to see the new butterfly pavilion but at 11 a.m. the waiting time was 6 hours! We got tickets and plan to go back. In the meantime, the aviary in the spring is one of my favorite places. These are roseate spoonbills whose thoughts have turned to love. Henry Doorly Zoo.
