I was able to get within 25 feet of this kingfisher - which is virtually unheard of! - to snap this photo at a park in Medina, WA (outskirts of Bellevue). Taken with Canon 30D and Sigma EX80-400 lens at 400mm, 1/400 @ f6.3.

Wonderful capture Winston I have chased one of these a few times from tree to tree they spook easy and fly fast finally settled for a very distant postage size shot so this capture is amazing!!!!! Big Congrat.
