A very tender and thought provoking image, Susan. One can almost feel the isolation and it causes me to want to reach out and touch this little infant. What were the circumstances of this image? Congrats on your touching POTD!

This is such a sweet shot, Susan....it reminds of the time my twins spend in the NICU when they were born. Infants seem so tiny and frail but are so strong. Its amazing some of the chanllenges they overcome. Congratulations on your POTD!

omg.. This photo brings back SO many memories...my son had Bilirueben also when he was born...It was sad, but also funny, he looked like a minature skier..with the glasses and ski cap...Congrats on POTD

Wonderful framing, one to be treasured when this little one is healthy and grown. Congrats Susan on POTD!

Love the framing on this one. My little girl was in the hospital for 2 weeks as she was born six weeks early. She recovered just fine!

Thank You all for your nice words and comments. Thomas developed jaundice after he was born and on the third day his bilirueben levels went a bit high and he required photo therapy(time under UV lights) to bring them down again, because he needed to be naked for the therapy he had to go in the isolete to keep warm. The blind fold is to prevent eye damage from the bright UV lights.

Precious beyond words. Most worthy of a POTD!
