This impressive waterfall (about 35 feet high) occurs after substantial rainfall sends the excess water into the overflow area. Geary State Fishing Lake.

The white water rushing down in the tide pool, the rough texture of the rocks, and the framing of greenery create a compelling image! Congratulations on your POTD!

Thanks for the selection of my photo and the positive comments. This is one of my favorite local "gems". It doesn't always have much water flow and it IS a little effort to reach, but it's so isolated and lovely that it's well worth the small trek!
