Photographer Notes:
The heritage district of Gilbert was the original town. The city is trying to preserve many of the original buildings. The Liberty Market is being renovated by a restauranteur who is trying to preserve the essence of the old grocery store. Histoically the store is significant as it was owned by one of the original Mexican families to settle in Gilbert.
