World in Pictures Day XI Gallery

This global event took place on June 06, 2009.

The eleventh edition of World in Pictures Day drew 64 photographer who submitted wonderful images for the June 6, 2009 event. This was also the 65th anniversary of the Allied Forces "D-Day" invasion of Normandy, France, which began the liberation of that country and signaled the beginning of the end of World War II in Europe. Thank you to all the photographers who took part with some very nice shots of their world.
