Anthropics sends word that version 9.0 of Portrait Professional Studio is now available. Featuring their patented ClearSkin technology, Portrait Professional Studio 9 gives "far and away the most realistic and natural looking skin enhancement available." The tool can be used stand-alone or as a Photoshop plugin.

    Other features of note:
  • New intelligent touch up brush that uses ClearSkin® technology for greatly enhanced blemish removal.
  • Skin Smoothing slider dramatically improves the look of skin without removing any detail.
  • Full multi-processor support for a major speed increase for users of dual and quad core machines.
  • Many optimizations for increases in speed even for single core cpu's.
  • Profile as well as full face shots are now supported, and all views in between.
  • Improved color management for those working with calibrated color.
  • The face sculpting technology has been greatly improved especially for subjects with an open mouth.
  • Batch mode for enhanced workflow speed.
  • Improved User Interface: Help, Tutorial and Undo functions making Portrait Professional the easiest to use photo-editing software available.
